Top Gear has been in a spot of bother ever since Clarkson, Hammond and May left the show for reasons you are probably aware of by now. After this huge media frenzy, Chris Evans was named as one of the hosts of the soon to be revamped show which will still be run by the BBC. Reports are now suggesting that two other hosts have been picked, auto-journalist Chris Harris and professional racing driver Sabine Schmitz.
Chris Harris, who I’m sure we all know, runs a YouTube channel called Chris Harris on Cars, and has also written for car magazines such as Autocar and Evo. We would have no problems seeing him moved onto the big screen as his reviews are extremely entertaining and he is certainly a unique presenter.
Sabine Schmitz is a professional racing driver from Germany for Porsche and BMW, who previously appeared on Top Gear in 2004 when she drove a Transit van around the Nurburgring in under 10 minutes. She is also well known for being a ‘ring-taxi’ driver, chauffeuring tourists briskly around the ‘Ring.
Another presenter tipped to be on the line up is David Coulthard, former F1 driver and current F1 presenter. People have been saying that he lacks the character needed to host such a lively show but all will be revealed soon enough so keep your eyes peeled for any updates.
